Missions
First Baptist and missions go hand in hand! Beyond our prayers and offerings for missionaries, our First Baptist family is involved in hands-on missions in Devine through “Mission Devine”, the Food Pantry Ministry of Devine, and the Devine Ministerial Fellowship.
We also do missions in south Texas through Operation Christian Love and the Frio River Baptist Association.
State-wide, we support work through the Baptist General Convention of Texas and Texas Baptist Men’s Disaster Relief.
Nationally, we support the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mission Board and SBC Disaster Relief. Our Youth and families have gone on mission trips throughout the U.S.
Internationally we support the Southern Baptist Conventions and International Mission Board. Our members are involved in mission projects for orphanages in Mexico. Some of our members have been on short term mission trips to Mexico, Central America, Japan, Africa, Europe, and China.
Our Mission Organizations emphasize studies about missions and missionaries around the world, prayer for missionaries, and mission action projects. We currently offer the following missions program organizations:
